Yay, it's not long to wait at all..........

Before I do the total fan girl thing and order “Serenity” from Amazon in the U.S. I was wondering if you heard when the release date is for Oz (would prefer paying aussie dollars to US naturally). EzyDVD have “Serenity” listed as a future release, but no date.

Adam’s actually packing his bags for America, so I couldn’t rope him into doing the Mailbag this week. Instead, he promises to make it up to me by licking my cat litter box clean when he returns. Nice guy. Anyway, “Serenity” should be out here in Australia on Feb 8. You heard t here first.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly! Maybe this later release will have more features (i.e Sydney Q and A). Fingers crossed! |

3 versions for me!
US release
Australian release
and uber-superfantasorgasmic-duper set coming at an unspecified date with a cast commentary and five discs of pure unadulterated Serenity fun (this is a hope of mine, not an official announcement, so don't get confused)

Yeah, February-ish is what someone was told at the Sydney Q+A (I believe...).
I wonder if the recording of the Sydney Q+A will be on the dvd? Or is it being saved for the 'special special edition'. On a related note I wonder if the set will be the same as the upcoming U.S. dvd?
Whatever the case, I'm definitely getting it from the U.S. I'll probably get the local version as well (especially if it has some features not on the U.S. version), but there's no way I'm sitting on my hands for two months :p.
FWIW, I recently read a comment by somebody who said Adam Baldwin stated that he was about to record a commentary. So I'm pretty sure we can look forward to a future release with everybody on it. |

UIP can release the BDM at the same time here and in the States, but not the BDVD? Damn them!

Isn't that BDDVD? 
In regards to ordering it, I *may* be willing (depends how many people are interested) to order a whole stack from amazon for people who are unable to. You could either pay the extra postage and have it sent directly to you, or we could send it via me (I think it would work out a bit cheaper). Anyway, let me know if anyone's interested, and we'll go from there...
p.s. In another thread someone mentioned contacting Minotaur about the R1 release... don't . I think you'll touch a raw nerve, as they were taken to court for selling them and lost.
p.p.s. If you want the R1 copy you'd obviously need support both for the different region, and different tv format (NTSC).
